Dear Woodinville Neighbors,
We are so very thankful for the many, many volunteers who helped these candidates win their recent races: Bernie Talmas, Paula Waters, Dale Knapinski, Susan Boundy-Sanders, and James Evans. YOUR support in walking the streets, setting out and hosting signs, raising funds, and supporting these candidates was nothing short of amazing. The election results have now been certified and we’re so excited to congratulate this winning team!
We are thankful for the tireless efforts of everyone who has helped foster an environment of responsibility within the City government, protect the wooded character of the rural parts of Woodinville, and secure a safer future for our salmon, wildlife, streams and critical areas.
We are thankful that the R-1 area today remains an area where deer, raccoons, hawks, woodpeckers, bobcat, squirrels and even the occasional bear are able to use the wildlife corridors and bless our neighborhoods with the kind of ambience we all enjoy.
We are thankful that Wellington Hills Golf Course has not yet been bulldozed and that we as citizens still have the opportunity to provide input and change the Snohomish County government’s plan for this 100-acre park.
We are thankful that Woodinville is getting a seat at the table to help prevent another “garbage dump” from being installed in our neighborhood. Instead, Woodinville is now being considered for a stop on the expanded Regional Transit map!
We are thankful that when there’s an urgent need for action, attendance at a meeting or to raise funds, so many of you step up and do whatever you can to help ensure we’re successful.
During this season of reflection and thankfulness, we hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on the things for which you’re thankful, to greet your neighbors with warmth when you see them out walking our quiet streets, and rejoice in the victories we’ve celebrated so far. Here’s to many more as we continue to work as a team!
