Who Will Run Our City Council?

Be sure to vote for those who would represent our citizens, not big developers!

High Density Homes

Master Builders Association, which advocates a minimum density of seven houses per acre (R-7) throughout our city, is actively campaigning against CNW endorsed candidates Susan Boundy-Sanders, Jeff Glickman, and Peter Tountas. In recent phone calls to Woodinville citizens the MBA endorsed candidates they felt were receptive to their agenda. In a newsletter to their membership they did the same

Tired of Traffic?

Then it's time for change in City Council where the power lies. Traffic is the citizen's over-riding concern. Yet City Council is ignoring our pleas. It has mishandled the Woodinville budget for capital improvements. Money which, appropriately handled, would have been applied to ease our traffic congestion and make our streets safer. (More info on troubled projects) If this doesn't sound good to you - vote and vote wisely for your new City Council members.

Is Our Current City Council Listening?

Five candidates applied for the vacated City Council position. Filling this position was the sole responsibility of the Council. In public hearing four candidates spoke to the need for improving traffic, enhancing public safety, managing the City budget, and self-determining growth and demonstrated well-researched plans for implementation. Four candidates were experienced in such matters and had demonstrated continuing commitment to the City planning process. Did the City Council select the candidate who was best able to help lead our city? We think not. Judge for yourself by watching the proceedings (especially the last 20 to 30 minutes). This important outcome was barely mentioned by the Woodinville Weekly. So vote and vote wisely.
