This is what we wanted!
Based on pressure received from the public, the City of Woodinville is moving the date(s) of the Montevallo and Wood Trails Public Hearings to Wednesday, MARCH 14 and Thursday, MARCH 15. We learned this news an hour ago, so both the City’s web site and our CNW web site do not yet reflect this new information.
Why is this great news?
Edmund Burke said: “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”
While this may at first seem a little dramatic for this situation, think about the negative long-terms impact of destroying native Salmon habitat in the Northwest—both economically as well as the enjoyment your grandchildren may be robbed of. Think about the reason you drive the extra X miles a day to and from work so that you can live in an environment where woodpeckers, raccoons, and wild birds are a common sight. Think about the 12 Characteristics of Neighborhood Character (described beautifully in the executive summary of the Sustainable Development Study and met in almost every way by the entire R1-zoned area) that make our community what it is today. Then, read the sentence again.
We’re grateful for your vigilence!! Many of you have spread the news below to your neighbor. Please take a few moments to pass on this late date change to them as well. (The information below has been updated with the new dates for your convenience.)
